Thank you

Thank you to everyone who has supported Every Wild Soul in its first weeks out in the wild. I have had the most wonderful conversations with readers and booksellers around Australian, and (virtually) in NZ, about what they connect with in this novel.

I love it that readers are feeling immersed in nature, and I love it that they care so much for young Min, who is controlled by her ranger father on Tasmania’s remote Maria Island. I love it too that people are relating to the character Lucie, and her return to Tasmania and its beautiful natural landscapes after a life that was becoming hollowed-out my an empty marriage and pregnancy loss in London. And it seems I’m not the only one to fall in love with Werner.

The novel is, I hope, a page turner with hope at its heart. I enjoyed the science writing aspects of it – drawing on my own biology background to research rewilding programs around the world. Rewilding, both of nature and of ourselves, I feel is a source of much-needed hope in the world.
